Last week, more than 1,000 Muslims formed a “ring of peace” outside Oslo’s main synagogue offering symbolic protection for the city’s Jewish community following an attack on a synagogue in Copenhagen.
They chanted: “No to anti-Semitism, No to Islamophobia.”
The Muslim Public Affairs Council attended a two day summit conference at the White House on “Countering Violent Extremism” (CVE). They met with the President, Vice President and the National Security Council members. The three goals outlined were to develop a strong national security strategy that treats American Muslims as partners, endorses community-led CVE initiatives and preserves the values of freedom and justice in America.
